Reba’s Malibu Country to Launch Nov. 2

The country comedy will air after Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing.

Looks like Reba McEntire's new TV show will be part of a Friday-night comedy lineup for ABC.

The network has announced that the show, Malibu Country, will debut at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 2. That's a half hour after the second-season premiere of Tim Allen's sitcom Last Man Standing.

The date is also significant because the Country Music Association Awards will air the night prior, on Nov. 1. You can bet there will be plenty of promotion for Reba's show during the CMAs.

Reba's show is about a country singer (Reba) who moves to Malibu to escape her cheating rock star husband. A country singer in Southern California? Let the hijinks ensue!

Reba's mother is played by Lily Tomlin.
