REBA GETS A REPRIEVE

Reba McEntire’s hit TV sitcom Reba has been given a last-minute reprieve by the new CW Network, reports tvguide.com.

Various reports had been circulating that Reba’s show, which drew high viewer numbers on the WB network, would get the axe by the new network, a merging of WB and UPN. But CW has now given the green light for a 13-episode season, beginning in the fall. The network stood to lose about $20 million if it canceled the show because it had already been picked up for a sixth season before the CW merger.
