REBA TO FILM TV PILOT

Reba McEntire is certainly spreading her wings these days. Not only is she gearing up for her Broadway run of Annie Get Your Gun, she'd also preparing to film a pilot for a half-hour sitcom for the WB.

There's no title yet, but the program will feature Reba as a Southern mother whose comfy life collapses when she learns that her husband's been cheating and her teen daughter is pregnant.

"Reba's definitely a strong woman who can handle adversity," says the show's writer, Allison Gibson, "and that's really what the center of the lead of the show is.

"I think she's going to be fantastic."

No schedule has been set for the filming to begin -- and no, Reba's not expected to sing.
