Reba to Be Honored by Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame
Garth Brooks, Frank Sinatra and George Harrison have all been inducted.
Reba McEntire will be inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame. The country superstar will also perform during the Hollywood Bowl's opening night of the 2012 season, which will take place June 22, according to Reba's official
website. Actress Julie Andrews will host the evening.
Known for its band shell and distinctive arches, the Hollywood Bowl is one of the largest natural amphitheaters in the United States, seating approximately 18,000. It's history reaches back to the 1929, and performers including Judy Garland, Luciano Pavarotti, The Beatles and Fred Astaire have all graced its stage.
The Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame was founded in 2000; it celebrates consummate performers and creators. Frank Sinatra, Trisha Yearwood, Brian Wilson (of The Beach Boys), George Harrison (of The Beatles), Garth Brooks, Stevie Wonder and Bonnie Raitt, among others, have all been inducted.
