Reality TV Showdown: Blake Shelton, Keith Urban Trash Talk Each Other

Blake says he’d win a fist fight against Keith: “He’d get tangled up in his own hair.”

Keith Urban and Blake Shelton are on competing TV singing contests, so it’s pretty natural that some reporters would ask them about it.

That’s where Access Hollywood steps in, first asking Keith about the rivalry. And Keith joked that he knows he’s not as big as Blake, so he’s gonna hire a guy.

Blake’s response (also joking): Good thing Keith doesn’t come after Blake himself.

“I think he would get tangled up in his own hair,” Blake says, referring to all the head whipping Keith does in concert.

“Like you can see Keith Urban if he got real mad and he was flailing around like he does, you know, his hair would get in his face and mouth, he’d be doing all that stuff.”

Ha! What’s really at the root of this rivalry?

Blake jokes that it’s Keith’s new duet with Blake’s wife, Miranda Lambert, “We Were Us,” on Keith’s new Fuse album.

“I’m insanely jealous and I’m going into a jealous rage over this stuff,” Blake says, while looking and sounding like he’s not jealous at all. "And that’s probably why he wants to hire somebody to kill me.”
