Rascal Flatts, Martina Rock Country Christmas

Martina Christmas

As if the Country Music Association Awards and all the festivities leading up to them weren’t enough, major stars gathered for one more event last night (Nov. 11).

ABC and the CMA taped a country Christmas special at Nashville’s Bridgestone arena—a special that airs Nov. 29.

The stars?

Martina McBride blew the roof off the place when she sang “O Holy Night.”

And Rascal Flatts drew a standing ovation with an a cappella version of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.”

Host Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland had some fun with the crowd when cameras weren’t rolling.

She shared that she didn’t get to keep the beautiful gowns she was wearing. (Yes, gowns, plural.) Jennifer might not have wanted to keep one gown with an extra-tight top.

“I’m sucked into this corset,” she said. “You better be glad I’m not singing.”
