Rascal Flatts Invited to Join Opry
Vince Gill makes the invite.
Rascal Flatts was invited to join the Grand Ole Opry Tuesday night (Sept. 27) by 20-year Opry member Vince Gill. Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney will be formally inducted on Oct. 8.
They join The Oak Ridge Boys, who were inducted in August, and Blake Shelton, who joined in October 2010, as the newest members of the august organization.
Jay made the following response via Twitter: "I am beside myself. We were asked to be members of the Grand Ole Opry tonight!!! The greatest honor ever!!! Can't believe it, am I dreaming?"
