Rascal Flatts Hint at This Summer’s Big Tour

They may be warming up audiences on their current Thaw Out 2012 winter tour, but the members of Rascal Flatts are already thinking of sultry summer nights. Guitarist-vocalist Joe Don Rooney says the band will most definitely be back in amphitheaters once the hot and sticky weather rolls around, embarking on a package tour with a twist.

“It’s going to be all bands,” he reveals. “With Little Big Town, Eli Young Band and Edens Edge. It’s going to be cool.”

But Joe Don says they’re still not sure if they’re going to once again fly under the Flatts Fest banner. “We’re just now talking about what we’re going to call it,” he says. “But it’s always a party outdoors.” Especially when his two kids, Jagger Donovan and Raquel Blue, come out on the road with their mom, Rooney’s wife, Tiffany Fallon.

“I’m going to try to take them out this summer,” Joe Don says. “Jagger’s almost four now and Raquel is 16 months. It’s a beautiful thing.”
