Randy Travis Released From Hospital

Singer was suffering from heart infection and stroke.

After nearly a month in a Texas hospital, Randy Travis has been cleared for release. The singer was discharged from Plano Heart in Baylor, Texas, where he was recovering from a heart infection and stroke. Randy is now entering a separate facility to begin physical therapy.

The award-winning performer was admitted on July 7 for congestive heart failure and suffered a stroke a few days later, necessitating a procedure to alleviate pressure on his brain.

“Thanks to all the fans and friends for your continued prayers and support as Randy continues on the road to recovery,” Mary Davis, Randy’s fiancée, said in a statement.
