Randy Travis entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of simple assault in a Dallas-area court, Friday (Dec. 21). The charge stems from an Aug. 23 incident in a church parking lot in the Dallas area, where he allegedly got involved in an argument with an estranged couple. No one was hurt in the incident.

Randy appeared in the courtroom with his attorneys and requested a jury trial. He will face trial on March 11, 2013. Randy was also arrested in an earlier August incident in North Texas on charges of driving under the influence and allegedly threatening police officers.
