If you think the enthusiasm of the audience doesn’t matter, watch how an entertainer’s energy goes through the roof when the crowd is on fire. That’s why Randy Rogers Band incorporates audience mics into their lives shows. But sometimes they get more than they bargained for.

“We have these two microphones that stick out from the stage and we always get the guy that comes up to it and says, ‘Do you remember me from college?’ That happens,” Randy tells Country Weekly, laughing.

Fortunately, that guy didn’t make the final edit for their newest album, Homemade Tamales: Life From Floores, but if you want to read about what did, pick up June 2 issue of Country Weekly, on stands now.
