Earlier in the week, Randy Houser looked happy and upbeat as a bunch of country artists gathered for a show in New York City.

"Hanging with my buddy @dustinlynch backstage," Randy tweeted Tuesday (Feb. 19) along with a pic of the two smiling big.

Looks like those big smiles disappeared after Randy flew into Vegas and drove to Utah for a gig the next day.

The Salt Lake Tribune reported that Randy ended up at the hospital, where doctors treated him and sent him to a hotel room.

"He is resting at his hotel under doctors' orders not to travel or perform for the next couple of days," the newspaper reported.

While no official statement is being released, we reached out to Randy's publicist, who revealed that the country artists had completed 20 shows in 25 days and was literally too sick to sing that night.

Although his Feb. 20 show in Ogden, Utah, was postponed until April 3, he is feeling better and is expected to perform tonight (Feb. 22) in Burgettstown, Pa.
