“Pretty Little Liars” Star Lucy Hale Is Going Country

Actress working on debut album in Nashville.

Actress Lucy Hale, who plays Aria Montgomery in the hit ABC show Pretty Little Liars, will soon be joining the ranks of the women in country music.

The 24-year-old Memphis native grew up loving country music, particularly Martina McBride, Shania Twain and Faith Hill, before gaining fame onscreen. During the last year, she has been visiting Nashville to work on her debut album with producer Mark Bright (Carrie Underwood). Her first country single is expected in 2014.

“Music is my heart and I’m so blessed to say that this album turned out to be something I’m very proud of,” said Lucy in a statement. “I’m unbelievably excited to hit the road this fall to meet country radio and share what I’ve been working on.”

Lucy’s album will be released through Disney Music Group, in conjunction with Bigger Picture Group, which is also the label home of Craig Campbell.
