Seems Kenny Chesney’s crew decided to surprise the country star by throwing a Possum at him in the middle of his show Saturday night.

Kenny’s posse arranged for George Jones to walk out onto the stage in Lexington, Ky., just before an acoustic set. The crowd is going bonkers, and Kenny doesn't even know why until he turns around to see the country music legend.

The band breaks into “I Don’t Need Your Rocking Chair,” the crowd goes wild again, and Kenny talks George into singing “He Stopped Loving Her Today” as well.

The Lexington Herald-Leader wrote, “In an age where country music has lost much of its sense of risk, this obviously heartfelt meeting between two generational stars was a bona fide thrill.”

Kenny later called it one of the biggest thrills of his life.
