Porter Wagoner Reported in Serious Condition

Legendary Grand Ole Opry star Porter Wagoner is hospitalized and in serious condition, reports Nashville TV station WSMV.

The 80-year-old singer had originally gone to a hospital in Nashville for some observation, but is now in serious condition, according to reports. Members of Porter’s family have not revealed his illness or why he is remaining in the hospital. Porter was scheduled to appear at the iebaLIVE! Awards Banquet in Nashville Tuesday night, Oct. 16, to receive the Pioneer Award. Dierks Bentley accepted on Porter’s behalf.
