Porter Wagoner: 50 Years on the Opry

Porter Wagoner will celebrate his 50th anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry in a special Opry show, Saturday, May 19.

Dolly Parton, Porter’s former duet partner, Patty Loveless and Marty Stuart are among the stars slated to appear on Porter’s big night. Marty will host the televised segment of Grand Ole Opry Live on GAC at 8 p.m. ET, which will feature performances by Patty and Dolly. A reception is planned for Porter following the telecast. Porter joined the Opry in February of 1957.
