Pop Star Demi Lovato Covers “American Honey”

Her fans says it’s the first time the 19-year-old has covered the Lady Antebellum hit in concert.

In the middle of a show Tuesday night (July 17) in San Jose, Calif., pop star Demi Lovato plopped herself onto a stool and sang the Lady Antebellum song “American Honey.”

Demi's fans posted online that that's the first time the 19-year-old covered the song.

And Lady A's Hillary Scott responded almost immediately on Twitter.

"Heard that @ddlovato sang American Honey tonight!" Hillary tweeted. "Thanks so much Demi!!! U are such an amazing girl! We should hang out someday! =)"

No tweet reaction from Demi as of Wednesday morning.

But Demi's fans probably would love to hang out with Hillary. Many sang along with Demi from the first notes of "American Honey."
