Pistol Annies: Blake’s Sister-Wives?

Blake Shelton gets plenty of coaching help from Pistol Annies.

Though Miranda Lambert served as a mentor for husband Blake Shelton's team on a recent episode of NBC-TV's The Voice, it looks like Blake is getting plenty of coaching help from all three members of the trio Pistol Annies—Miranda, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. Blake is currently fighting for a season two champion on the show.

"We're kind of all side-seat coaches," Miranda told The Hollywood Reporter prior to the Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games. "We were in the car giving our opinion about every contestant and what song they should do."

"We were doing game strategy on the way over," said Angaleena.

"We call ourselves Blake's sister-wives," says Miranda, laughing.

"He's Pistol Andy," says Angaleena.

The trio also talked about writing "Run Daddy Run" for The Hunger Games soundtrack, which will be released Tuesday (March 20). "We all were so inspired by the book and by [The Hunger Games character] Katniss," says Ashley. "There's a part in the book where she's yelling, 'Run, Daddy, run away from the mines,' and so that's the title of the song that Angaleena had had. September of last year we were on the bus one day and we were like, 'Let's write this.' We were so inspired by the book and the story it told, so we wrote ["Run Daddy Run"] and forced our way onto the soundtrack."

"We kind of begged our way through," says Miranda.
