Pistol Annies’ Angaleena Presley Prepares Her First Solo Album

Holler Annie to release first full-length on Slate Creek Records.

The sweet and sassy dark-haired coal-miner’s daughter who became “Holler Annie” in the country trio Pistol Annies has signed a deal to release her first full-length solo album this fall.

Angaleena Presley, who appropriately hails from Beauty, Kentucky, has signed with Slate Creek Records—home to singer/songwriter Brandy Clark (“Mama’s Broken Heart,” “Better Dig Two,”)—and is serving as producer on her debut project. “Producing this album was important to me because of its content. I’ve lived every word of it and knew exactly how I wanted it to sound,” she says.

Angaleena is the final Annie to release a solo project. Miranda Lambert, of course, has multiple albums and Ashley Monroe has two previous solo albums including the critically acclaimed Like A Rose, which was released last year. You can also hear her on J.B. & The Moonshine Band's new single, "Black & White."
