PHIL VASSAR TUNE IS NOW TV THEME SONG

It's official-network morning news shows love country music. Phil Vassar's song, "Live For Today,"-which he co-wrote with his wife, Julie Wood-will be the new theme song for NBC's Today Show. "It's unbelievable," Phil told the Associated Press. "It's something you don't ever think is gonna happen." "Live For Today" will be the show's new theme in a couple of weeks. It beat out hundreds of other submissions for the coveted spot that replaces the show's current eight-year-old theme. It will also help promote a new segment called "Live for Today." Phil's new coup comes just weeks after Julie Roberts' was chosen by ABC's Good Morning America to sing their new theme song, "Good To Go."
