The special is helping raise awareness for Feed the Children, a nonprofit relief organization that delivers food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to needy families. Phil's’s current single, “Prayer of a Common Man,” is highlighted during the special. Also appearing on the show are the Oak Ridge Boys, Lee Greenwood and many other stars. All proceeds raised from Americans Feeding Americans will go toward helping financially strapped families receive the food and personal care items they need to get them through these especially hard times
