THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE: KENNY, CARRIE, RASCAL FLATTS

Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts all came up winners at The 33rd Annual People’s Choice Awards, Jan. 9, in Los Angeles.

Kenny won for Favorite Male Singer, beating out fellow country stars Trace Adkins and Toby Keith, while Carrie took the honors for Favorite Female Singer and Favorite Country Song, “Before He Cheats.” Rascal Flatts won two awards for their hit “Life Is a Highway,” Favorite Song From a Movie (Cars) and Remake. “It really doesn’t seem like that long ago that I was playing in a college bar on a stool in front of a tip jar,” said Kenny after his victory. “That is how this dream started.” The awards were voted on by fans.
