Paula Abdul’s Back in Carrie's Life—for a Few Moments

“I’m literally blown away by this beautiful talent,” Paula says of the woman she once judged on a TV show.

Reunited and it feels so good.

It has been seven years since folks saw Paula Adbul and Carrie Underwood together on national television, and that was when Carrie won the fourth season of American Idol.

Paula was the judge known for being enthusiastically supportive and uplifting for all the contestants. Looks like nothing has changed since 2005.

Paula gave Carrie a very gracious intro Sunday night (Sept. 2) for the nationally televised annual Muscular Dystrophy Association fundraiser Show of Strength.

"I think back to where our journey first began on American Idol and I'm literally blown away by this beautiful talent," Paula said.

"What a blessing it is for me to have been an up-close and personal witness to your growth, your talent, your passion and your amazing success," she said.

From the Opry House stage, Carrie sang "Nobody Ever Told You" from her new album.
