The afternoon kicked off with a party at Nashville’s ASCAP offices, where co-writer Trent Willmon was honored. “This song has had such an impact on me,” Trent told the assembled crowd. “To be a part of this is really special.” The second celebration at BMI honored co-writers Gary Hannan and Phil O’Donnell.
