Parents TV Group Knocks Miley Cyrus

Part-time country singer and Nashville area native Miley Cyrus is drawing heat from the Parents Television Council, which thinks Miley has strayed too far from Hannah Montana in her latest video.

“It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualized video like this one,” PTC president Tim Winter tells TMZ.com. “It sends messages to her fanbase that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point. Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly.”

The story whipped around the Web all weekend, but Miley’s camp still hasn’t responded to the Parents Television Council criticism for the music vid for “Who Owns My Heart.”

In the video, Miley appears in some skimpy outfits, and she’s doing some grinding at a late-night rager.
