Opera-Pop Singer Josh Groban Edges Out Tim McGraw

Maybe blame it on Valentine's Day? The new album by pop/opera star Josh Groban—he makes the ladies swoon—beat out Tim McGraw's new album, Two Lanes of Freedom, for the top spot on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart.

But Tim did have an impressive first week, selling more than 100,000 copies of the album and landing the top spot on the country albums chart for the 14th time. He also hit the mainstream media market hard to do so, landing on many magazine covers and sharing with Ellen DeGeneres what he doesn't wear when he puts on tight jeans.

While Tim couldn't topple Josh Groban, the country singer did at least beat out red-hot albums by Mumford & Sons, Andrea Bocelli and even Justin Bieber.
