Oh, to Be Chris Young’s Video Co-Star

A sexy hit single and steamy new hit video keep things heating up for this hunk.

He’s been Country Weekly’s “Hottest Bachelor” twice, so when video director Trey Fanjoy scripted the treatment for Chris Young’s video for “Who I Am With You,” she wasn’t afraid to show the country star’s sexier side. But shooting romantic scenes isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

“There’s a room full of 14 people and someone is shouting out directions while shooting it,” Chris says, laughing. “It’s definitely acting, but it’s something that I hope people watch the video and it looks real and honest.”

While many men would be thrilled to be smooching a beautiful star for four hours straight. What sparked a fire with Chris was the video’s live performance element—something he’s never had in a music video. “I think it’s a cool thing. I’ve never really done live performance in a show setting in a video,” he says. “In ‘Aw Naw’ there was footage of me and my band playing, but it was on a soundstage. It wasn’t live in front of a crowd and in the moment.”

Something for everyone? Sounds like it! To read more about Chris and his new video, pick up the April 7 issue of Country Weekly with George Strait on the cover, on stands now!
