Looks like baby girl Kline Eli will have to wait until she's older to go to the Country Music Association Awards.

Mike Eli, lead singer of the Eli Young Band, says he and his wife will leave their firstborn at home Thursday night (Nov. 1).

"We live in Texas, and Kline, my daughter, is a little too young to be traveling and going to the awards show," Mike told ABC Radio News.

"I can just see it on TV—'Oh, Mike Eli's baby making a bunch of noise!'"

That means Mike will miss spending time with his daughter on her first Halloween.

"Luckily," Mike says, "she's a little too young to realize that mom and dad will be gone for actual Halloween."
