The Oak Ridge Boys Release Live Album, “Boys Night Out”

Collection features “Elvira,” “Bobbie Sue” and many other hits.

The Oak Ridge Boys are finally releasing a project that's always been in the backs of their minds, an official full-length live concert album called Boys Night Out. The Oaks members—Duane Allen, Richard Sterban, William Lee Golden and Joe Bonsall—talk about the new record in the April 28 issue of Country Weekly.

“People have always asked us for live albums,” says Joe Bonsall. “We have wanted to do one for a long time. But over the years, every time we thought about a live album, another project would come up.”

Boys Night Out was recorded in Laughlin, Nev., over a period of several days and includes the Oaks’ live versions of many of their best-loved hits, including “Elvira” and “Bobbie Sue,” both featuring the distinctive bass vocals of Richard Sterban.

And Richard raves that the album gives fans the true live experience of an Oak Ridge Boys concert. “We get out there and rip it up,” he says. “Our live show is really cooking. It just rocks.”

You’ll also find out why the number “41” is significant for the group this year.
