The contest is designed to find and help develop exceptional songwriters and artists. Aspiring songwriters in any genre are encouraged to send their best songs to be judged by a panel of experts. This year's prizes include professional mentoring sessions with Kenny Alphin from the duo Big & Rich and Regie Hamm, 2008 American Idol songwriter. Entries will be accepted from Aug. 1 until Nov. 30. Details on submitting songs as well as the complete listing of prizes and official rules and regulations are available at nsai.cmt.com on Aug. 1.
