Not Guilty Plea in Country Singer’s Death

The man accused of intoxication manslaughter in the death of singer Buck Jones has pleaded not guilty, and is set to go to trial Jan. 7. Buck, who had recently been profiled in Country Weekly’s “Who’s New” feature, was killed March 17 while walking along Interstate 30 in Texas after suffering car trouble. Police say that Chaddrick Hunter of Royse City, Texas, was drunk when he allegedly hit Buck from behind.
