NHL: End the Lockout for Carrie Underwood’s Sake!

At Monday night's (Dec. 3) taping for the 2012 CMT Artists of the Year special, which honored some of the past year's most prolific performers, Carrie Underwood said the NHL lockout is affecting not only the career of her husband, Nashville Predators player Mike Fisher, but her own touring schedule as well.

"I schedule my whole tour around him. I’m like, 'You’re going to be gone anyway, so I’ll go out and tour this fall.' And now he’s home, and I’m not," Carrie tells Country Weekly, clearly a bit jealous that her other half is on extended vacation.

"I find myself going, 'I’m working! What did you do today?' And he’s like, 'Oh, golf,'" she says.

"I work out," clarifies Mike, who does his best to stay in shape during his unexpected off-season. "My job ends about noon once I’m done working out and skating. But hopefully we’ll be back here soon. I miss it."

As does Carrie, it sounds!

The 2012 CMT Artists of the Year awards ceremony airs Saturday, Dec. 8, at 10 p.m. ET.
