New Year’s Reba-lution: Get Juiced!

Star offers healthy options for healthy eating.

Is eating better one of your New Year’s resolutions? You may want to turn to the great redheaded one for some advice. Reba McEntire is a big advocate of juicing.

“I do it every morning,” she tells Country Weekly. “I try to stay more vegetable than fruit because there’s more sugar in fruit. Also, the reason that it’s so important is because your digestive system needs a break and it doesn’t have to digest the juice. You need one meal a day that is a liquid.”

Yes, Fireball Whiskey may be a liquid. But, no, it is not juice!

Healthy Green Juice

Original recipe makes 2 servings

2 green apples, halved

4 stalks celery, leaves removed

1 cucumber

6 leaves kale

1/2 lemon, peeled

1 (1-inch) piece fresh ginger
