NEW MUSIC FROM JO DEE

Although there's no specific release date yet, Jo Dee Messina tells the "Pittsburgh Post-Gazette" that her Delicious Surprise CD will be in stores soon. She says that the record will have a few surprises, including nearly half of the songs self-penned. "The production is more like the [1998] 'I'm Alright' record than like [2000's] 'Burn,'" notes Jo Dee. "It's not slick - and grittier." She describes Delicious Surprise as "a pretty honest record" and adds, "I think sometimes with an honest record, people don't know what to do with it. But when we perform the songs live, we're getting a great response."
