New Cupcake: The Very Perry Chocolate Cherry

Sibling trio has a sweet new promotion for their new album.

The Band Perry has a sweet way to promote its new album, Pioneer, coming out Tuesday (April 2), besides being on the latest cover of Country Weekly.

Nashville-based Gigi's Cupcakes has a new product being released at the same time, The Tennessean reports—the Very Perry Chocolate Cherry.

It's inspired by a song on the new album called "I'm a Keeper," where the girl wants to change her name to Cherry.

Kimberly Perry can relate. She tells Country Weekly that she always wanted to be named Cherry after the girl in The Outsiders, the 1967 coming-of-age novel by S.E. Hinton that Francis Ford Coppola made into a movie in 1983.

"She’s always been one of my favorite heroines in literature," Kimberly tells the newspaper. "So the cupcake was named after the song and we got to taste test.”

Brother Reid said they helped create the tasty treat. “That was another thing on our bucket list, a cupcake.”

Looks ike you can check that one off the list!
