New Book Celebrates Dolly’s Wit

Quips and quotes from Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton has never been at a loss for a great quote or a timely quip. Now, a just-published book that celebrates Dolly’s unique wit and wisdom is available for fans, just in time for the holidays.

The Quotable Dolly: A Collection of Rich Sayings to Live, Laugh and Love By from the Country Music Legend combines Dolly’s classic quips with photos of the superstar throughout her life and career. In the 80-page book, readers will find treasures like this one from Dolly on aging: “People always ask me, ‘What do you want people to say about you one hundred years from now?’ I want them to say, ‘Dang, don't she look good for her age?’”

Part of the proceeds from the book will benefit Dolly’s charitable organization, the Imagination Library. The Quotable Dolly is available at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and the Ernest Tubb Record Shop in Nashville and online outlets such as amazon.com and rockandreadbooks.com.
