They're a hot part of the George Strait Country Music Festival, but Lonestar lead singer Richie McDonald had to take a break from country's premiere country music festival last week when his wife, Lorie, gave birth to a baby girl.

Maisie Elizabeth McDonald was born in Nashville on April 11 and checked in at 6 pounds and 19.5 inches.

"Lorie and Maisie are doing great. Maisie is a beautiful baby, I couldn't be happier," said the proud father.

Richie will meet up with the rest of the band on April 21 in Columbia, S.C., to continue the remainder of The George Strait Tour.
