New Acts Aim for Colgate Crown

Five new acts will compete for a $100,000 first prize at the 27th Annual Colgate Country Showdown, Thursday night, Jan. 15, at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.

LeAnn Rimes will host and perform at the Showdown, the nation’s longest-running country talent competition. The five finalists are Lance Lipinsky, Matt Reeves, Korey Blake, Johnny Bulford and the band LiveWire. The Colgate Country Showdown finals will be televised and aired at a later date to be announced.
