Neither Sleet, Nor Snow, Nor Rain Stops Taylor

Ever wonder what it would be like to play for more than 50,000 people in Gillette Stadium outside Boston, home of the New England Patriots? Taylor Swift’s Twitter followers got a look with this pic, which Taylor captioned: “Woah.”

That was from the second of two sold-out shows, and the first one was made memorable by a downpour that didn’t deter the fans or the performer.

“Tonight I got to dance in the pouring rain with 52,000 people. I will NEVER forget it,” Taylor gushed afterward.

The Boston Globe appreciated the effort.

“When the rain came, Taylor Swift embraced it,” the reviewer wrote.

“Swift decided if a sold-out Gillette Stadium was going to ride out the storm last night, so was she. The 21-year-old country-pop star was a trooper, a fact reflected not only in her tolerance for the weather, but also a two-hour performance that proved she’s growing into her talent.”
