Neal’s Heavenly Help

Neal McCoy raised more than $650,000 for his foundation, the East Texas Angel Network, at his annual benefit in Longview, Texas, the weekend of Sept. 29.

The foundation was created by Neal and his wife Melinda to help East Texas families whose children may be suffering from a life-threatening or serious illness. The weekend activities included a concert at Lobo Coliseum, a celebrity golf tournament and sponsors’ dinner. Along with Neal, the concert featured the comedy team of Williams & Ree, Jamie O’Neal and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Famed animal expert Jack Hanna was also on hand, entertaining the crowd with exotic animals like a python and a lemur. Founded in 1995, the East Texas Angel Network has now raised more than $4.7 million.
