NASHVILLE STAR UPDATE

Due to a glitch in the telephone voting system, no one was eliminated on Saturday night's episode of Nashville Star. However, next week - to keep the show on schedule - they'll say goodbye to the two finalists with the least votes. On episode four, the final eight showed the audience the fun they had opening for Montgomery Gentry in the series' second "Hot Spot" segment. All eight contestants also performed original compositions. Special guest Rodney Crowell shared his philosophy on what makes a great song. "Believability, relatability, a really good melody, and a good rhyme scheme," he said. "It should also show you something of yourself, maybe humor or tenderness. Cleverness also helps." Tune in Saturday, April 3 at 10 p.m. Eastern for episode five of Nashville Star!
