Nashville Songwriters Hall Announces Nominees

Ten songwriters and five songwriter/artists have been nominated for induction into the prestigious Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

This year’s ten nominees in the Songwriter category are:

  • Matraca Berg
  • Paul Craft
  • Kye Fleming
  • Larry Henley
  • the late John Jarrard
  • Bob Morrison
  • Mark D. Sanders
  • Tom Shapiro
  • John Scott Sherrill
  • Sharon Vaughn

The five nominees in the Songwriter/Artist category are:

  • the late Paul Davis
  • Larry Gatlin
  • John Hiatt
  • the late Johnny Horton
  • Tony Joe White

Of the nominees, two from the Songwriter category and one from the Songwriter/Artist category will be inducted during the annual Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony to be held Sunday, Oct. 26, at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel.
