Nashville-Based Reality Series Coming to FOX

The FOX-TV network will air a new reality series this fall, Nashville, that will follow a group of young people trying to make their mark in Music City.

Nashville was created by the same production company behind such MTV hit shows as Laguna Beach and The Hills. Because the show revolves around a young cast trying to break into the music industry, there will be musical performances, although that is not planned as the driving force behind the series. The emphasis instead will be on the drama that unfolds among the cast members. One of the cast members, Chuck Wicks, currently has a major label record deal while cast member Matt Jenkins previously had a deal and is now trying to revive his career. Nashville is scheduled to air Friday nights at 9 p.m. ET, beginning Sept. 14.
