MORE ON JOHN MICHAEL'S ARREST

John Michael Montgomery's attorney Jon Woodall has issued a statement about John Michael's arrest the morning of Feb. 16 on DUI and other charges in Lexington, Ky.

"John Michael is not yet able to comment in detail regarding the impaired driver allegations," Woodall states. "His attorneys are awaiting a completion of a final report to be issued by the arresting officer. Based upon the contents of that report and other evidence, a decision will be made concerning the substantive nature of these charges." John Michael, whose biggest hits include "I Swear" and "The Little Girl," was arrested after being pulled over at an intersection in the south end of town. He had been at the Austin City Saloon in Lexington, according to his attorney, a venue where he formerly headlined. He was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled drug and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. On Thursday afternoon, Woodall entered a plea of not guilty on John Michael's behalf.
