More ACM Nominees Announced

The Academy of Country Music has announced the nominees for Album of the Year and Top New Artist for the upcoming ACM Awards.

The Album of the Year nominees are: Back When I Knew It All, Montgomery Gentry; Carnival Ride, Carrie Underwood; Fearless, Taylor Swift; That Lonesome Song, Jamey Johnson and Troubadour by George Strait. The winners of Top New Male Vocalist, Top New Female Vocalist and Top New Vocal Duo or Group, as voted on by fans through GAC's website, were also announced. The respective winners, Jake Owen, Julianne Hough and the Zac Brown Band, will now compete in a new ACM category, Top New Artist. Fans may vote for that award at voteacm.com beginning March 16. The 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will be held Sunday, April 5, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on CBS-TV at 8 p.m. ET.
