This Is the Month—Jake Owen’s Gonna Be a Daddy!

It could be any day now.

Jake Owen and his wife, Lacey, will be first-time parents. On the CMA Awards red carpet, they revealed to Country Weekly that they'll call the baby Pearl, after Jake's good friend, Pearl, who recently passed away.

So Jake's going to be a first-time parent. And his parents will be first-time grandparents. And his grandparents will be first-time great-grandparents.

"There’s a lot of cool feelings goin’ around the Owen household these days," Jake told reporters recently.

"Yeah, my parents—as most parents are—are very excited about havin’ grandkids," he said.

"My mom has asked me for years, 'When are you gonna get married? When are you gonna get married? I want grandbabies,'" Jake relates. "And I told her that it just was gonna be . . . it’s gonna take the right person, and I really never thought I’d get married, but a lot of things in my life have happened when I least expected it, and Lacey came into my life at a time when I needed it most—and needed her the most, and thankfully she’ll be here with me ‘til my dying day."

And lots of barefoot blue jean nights, too.
