Takei played the character of chief navigator Sulu on the famed Star Trek series. He will be trying to win the talent competition with the help of Montgomery Gentry’s Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry. “Man, how cool to be rockin’ with Mr. Sulu. I’m such a Trekkie,” Eddie admits. “Beam us up to the semifinals.” Clint Black will also appear on the April 8 premiere episode, showing off his hidden talent as a stand-up comedian.
