Sometimes drummers don't get no respect. One of the more popular jokes on Music Row goes, "How do you get a drummer off your porch?" "Pay for the pizza."

Rimshot!

But Daniel de los Reyes of the Zac Brown Band? He's getting his props.

Daniel got percussionist of the year in the annual readers' poll for Modern Drummer magazine. And Daniel—who also has played with Sting, Stevie Nicks, Jennifer Lopez and many others—is pretty psyched, thanking his fans with a video you can view below.

And ZBB fans get a special shout-out.

"Without your support I would not have been able to win this most prestigious award," Daniel says. "Thank you.”
