Miranda Scores Record Nine CMA Noms

Lambert, Miranda

More CMA nominations were released on Aug. 31.

Miranda Lambert has made Country Music Association Awards history with a record nine nominations. That’s the most garnered by a female artist, and she’ll be able to celebrate with her pals in Lady Antebellum and with her fiancé, Blake Shelton.

Lady Antebellum, made up of Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood, earned the second most nominations with five and Blake was next with four, tied with Zac Brown Band.

Miranda and Dierks Bentley announced nominations in five categories Wednesday morning (Sept. 1) on ABC’s Good Morning America. The first seven categories were announced Tuesday in Nashville.
