Miranda Is Put on Vocal Rest

“Due to overextending her voice, Miranda has been place on vocal rest,” statement reads.

Miranda Lambert hopes to return to the road Thursday night (July 12) in Alabama after missing shows this past weekend because she was put on vocal rest.

"Due to overextending her voice, Miranda has been placed on vocal rest," a statement on her website reads. "She's under the care of her doctor and she hopes to return to the road next weekend."

Miranda missed shows in New York and Pennsylvania over the weekend.

And she's even unusually silent on her Twitter account, where there hasn't been a post since before the Fourth of July.

No reaction from hubby Blake Shelton on what Miranda on vocal rest is like.
